How we handle your information
Last updated 13 October 2026
This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us process it, and how you can change your choices or contact us.
What you give us
The enquiry form on this website asks for your due date or your baby's date of birth, the kind of session you are interested in, your city or area, your name and your email address. You can also leave an optional message. This form does not ask for a phone number.
- Your baby's timing tells us whether the date you need is open.
- Your city or area tells Alina where the session would be. A city is enough; we do not ask for your address here.
- Your name and email are how Alina replies to you.
- The message box is yours: write in it or leave it empty.
- We limit repeated form submissions to help prevent spam and abuse. The daily counters used for these limits expire after two days.
What we collect while you read
Two different things, and the difference matters.
- A page counter runs for everyone. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier and cannot tell that two visits were the same person. It counts page views, where visitors arrived from and how quickly pages load, all in totals.
- Google Analytics and the Meta pixel load only if you press Accept all. These do identify a device and build a profile. If you press Necessary only, or if you have not answered yet, they are not loaded at all: not loaded and silent, but absent from the page.
- Microsoft Clarity loads on the same condition, only after Accept all. It shows us how the pages are used: where people click, how far they scroll, and a replay of the visit, so we can find the places where the site is confusing. What you type into the form is never recorded. How Microsoft itself handles this data is set out in the Microsoft Privacy Statement at microsoft.com/privacy.
Who else sees it
As few people as we can manage.
- We use service providers to help operate our website, deliver emails and store enquiries. Your enquiry is emailed to Alina and kept in our enquiry records so she can respond and manage your request.
- If you accepted analytics cookies, Google and Meta receive that you visited and that an enquiry was sent, but never the contents of your message, your dates or your name.
- If you choose Accept all, we use Google Analytics and Meta to measure website and advertising performance. We also report completed enquiries from our server. Meta may use contact information from your enquiry to help match the event to an account. These server-side analytics events are not sent if you choose Necessary only.
- We do not sell your information to anyone, and an enquiry does not add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
An enquiry is kept for 12 months from the day it arrives, then deleted.
Before your session
Before your session, we send you a form to collect the information needed to plan and prepare for your session. In the same form, we ask whether you give permission for photographs from your session to appear in Alina's portfolio or on social media.
Changing your mind about cookies
Use the button below to reopen the choice. It clears the answer stored in this browser and asks again.
- Your answer is kept in this browser only, not on our servers.
- Clearing your browser data has the same effect.
Reaching a person about your information
Write to us if you want to see the information we hold about you, fix a mistake in it, or have it deleted. A person reads it. There is no form to fill in and no ticket number.
- The person responsible for your information is Alina, the owner of SLEEPYNESTPHOTO, a registered business in Ontario. Write to her at the address below.
